History

We create change... it's Logic

Logic Homes, formerly Gentect Homes has evolved from a virtual alliance company into a legal entity. The commitment and innovation of its shareholders has enabled it to become a highly respected organisation within both the private and affordable housing sectors.

The following charts the organisation growth and achievements during this time:

December 2003

Organisation structure and vision for the company is established and Gentect Homes is created as a special purpose vehicle to help Genesis Housing Group deliver large volumes of Challenge Fund II sites quickly and efficiently.

January 2004

First internal management team meeting takes place.

April 2004

Genesis Housing Group are awarded Challenge Fund II grant.

Establishment of Gentect Homes Programme Team, incorporated to drive the Challenge Fund II delivery programme.

Cherrydown West, Basildon becomes the first Gentect Homes scheme on site.

November 2004

Work commences on a new structure to help Gentect Homes grow business delivery base from Challenge Fund II to a wider mixed tenure delivery.

February 2005

Grant for Private Developer PPQ acquired enabling Gentect Homes to bid for Housing Corporation grant.

April 2005

Gentect Homes Limited is legally created.

June 2005

Gentect Homes constructs Lawrence Hall, its first pre-fabricated development, in only two days.

April 2006

One of only seven private sector developers and the only special purpose vehicle to receive funding in the National Corporation's National Housing Programme 06/08 (£5.3m awarded).

May 2006

Gentect Homes commended in the ODPM Design for Manufacture (£60k house) scheme

Finalists in the Housing Corporation's Gold Award for Innovation in Procurement.

September 2006

Presentation Social Investment Agency joins as eighth shareholder.

Gentect Homes is officially re-launched as Logic Homes.
