The refurbishment and regeneration of a Grade II listed barn on the outskirts of Welwyn Garden City has produced 27 affordable homes for the area thanks to the partnership working of Logic Homes.

As part of the English Partnerships Challenge Fund II framework Logic Homes has refurnished the barn to contain 5 homes and a further 22 new build properties are situated nearby.   The result is 27 homes for the local community in this welcoming garden city in the Homes Counties.  The scheme contains a mix of 1, 2, 3 & 4 bedroom properties over a range of tenures, 10 homes for General Needs Rent, 6 homes for Intermediate Rent and 11 homes for New Build Home Buy.

The new build homes were built using a timber frame and finished in timber cladding in keeping with the listed barn and surrounding buildings. 

The scheme was constructed by McCann Homes for Genesis Housing Group who took final handover in January 2009.
