Located in the heart of the Bow Conservation Area, East London the Fairfield Road development has provided 146 homes for affordable housing.  The scheme was designed by bptw Partnership and constructed by Allenbuild SE for Genesis Housing Group.

The former factory site was purchased in April 2006 and work began on the scheme in March 2008.  Originally planned to be mixed development with both affordable and private homes, Genesis Housing Group decided in 2009 to make the scheme 100% affordable, a decision supported by the Local Authority, London Borough of Tower Hamlets, and the Homes and Communities Agency.

In responding to local needs there scheme contains a wide range of homes from 1 bedroom apartments for couples to large 5 bedroom family homes, which are sorely needed in the area.  The scheme is located a short walk from Bow Road underground station and Bow Church DLR providing easy links into the Docklands, City, West End and to East London which is seeing massive regeneration in time for the Olympics in 2012.  The scheme is close to several local primary schools and a Bow Secondary School is at the end of Fairfield Road.
