The development of Barrington Gate in Holbeach, Lincolnshire is ground breaking for Logic Homes in several ways.  It was the first scheme to start on site of our 2008 -11 National Affordable Housing Programme, funded through the Homes and Communities Agency.  The recession and collapse of the housing market had made starts more difficult to achieve and this scheme marked a turning point.

 

Secondly the scheme was the first to use our new funding model, delivering grant funding to our developer shareholder, Hill Partnerships.  In December 2009 the Homes and Communities Agency signed a Grant Agreement with Logic Homes that has allowed us to acquire grant for private developers to build affordable homes.  In this case Hill Partnerships own the scheme until completion when it will be bought and managed by Hastoe Housing Association.

 

Lastly the scheme is located the small village of Holbeach, near Spalding in Lincolnshire which is a new geographical location for Logic Homes.  Contained in the Homes and Communities Agency East Midlands region we have a well established track record in the region.

 

Barrington Gate will provide 42 affordable homes in this rural setting.  The homes will range from 1 bedroom flats for couples to 4 bedroom large family homes with over half homes containing 3 bedrooms or more.  The homes will be completed by March 2011.
