Built in the centre of Stevenage, only 200 yards from the train station, this 198 unit mixed tenure development, which is being delivered on behalf of partners Genesis Housing Group as part of their Challenge Fund II programme, demonstrates how working in partnership, Logic Homes can maximise the volume and quality of affordable housing provided on one site.

Designed and constructed by Logic Homes' partners SHP and Durkan respectively, the Fairview Road site comprises houses and flats for rent and shared ownership, including a high rise block and estate infrastructure.

This development embraces modern methods of construction, such as the timber frame used in the low-rise homes, to achieve an eco homes rating of very good.

Speaking at the opening of the Fairview Road site, Councillor Ann Webb, Cabinet Member for Housing in Stevenage, said "This has been a partnership in the true sense of the word. Each partner has worked together and we have benefitted from this high level of co-operation. The results of this can now be seen and we are looking forward to seeing the final homes in 2007. This site will provide much needed housing and is the start of several projects across Stevenage."
