Designed by architects Stephen Davy Peter Smith and being constructed by Hill Partnerships, the Wenlock Street development provides 61 homes for affordable rent and 56 homes for shared ownership.

In July 2008 Meg Hillier, MP for Hackney South and Shoreditch laid a ceremonial time capsule along with members of Genesis Housing Group & Springboard Housing Association.

Commenting on the 100% affordable scheme she said “This represents a wonderful example of how Hackney is making a real difference in providing all-affordable homes in the very heart of London.
This development will make a huge difference to the lives of those who live there, particularly to key workers".

The scheme was completed in March 2009
