Mar 10 - Logic Homes completes landmark scheme

In March 2010 Logic Homes completed the construction of 91 affordable homes and 91 homes for private sale in a flagship development at Thomas Road, Tower Hamlets, East London.

Logic Homes received grant funding from the Homes and Communities Agency of £11.1m for the 91 affordable homes which included flats and maisonettes with 1 – 5 bedrooms, all desperately needed in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets.  The scheme is built in four blocks, one of which is 12 storeys tall and offers panoramic views of London.  There are a range of sizes of homes spread across General Needs Rent (GNR), Intermediate Rent (IMR) and Private Sale (PS):

·          1 bedroom flat – 12 x GNR, 23 x IMR & 8 x PS

·          2 bedroom flat – 16 x GNR, 13 x IMR & 73 x PS

·          3 bedroom flat – 17 x GNR, 3 x IMR & 10 x PS

·          4 bedroom flat – 5 x GNR

·          5 bedroom flat – 2 x GNR

The scheme was constructed by Durkan Limited and the affordable housing will be managed by Genesis Housing Group, both Logic Homes shareholders.  The scheme was designed by Child Graddon Lewis Architects.
